Art

“I started painting as a hobby when I was little. I didn’t know I had any talent. I believe talent is just a pursued interest. Anybody can do what I do.”

Bob Ross

Art.

Art was my first passion. It is a forever friend that always has let me express myself when I can’t find the right words. It doesn’t judge me. It just lets me be happy, sad, angry and content.

My ideas start out as vague and whether I put pen, paintbrush, paint or metal to paper, metal, canvas or wood. It gets more detail as I work on it. Eventually, I have to leave it be so it can be shared.

Sketching.

I’ve done my fair share of sketching and continue to do so with big projects or anything done on commission. Below is some pieces from my sketchbooks, some are finished and some aren’t, but all have a story.

Painting.

I have grown so fond of painting. I love to do it for myself and others. I love coming up with ideas and making them come to life for people to share.

I mostly paint in acrylics, but also like to use watercolors and ink on occasion. At this point, I have not used oils. They just don’t seem to fit my style.

Mixing colors is the best. I love seeing a color and trying to match it as closely as possible and make them more vibrant, softer or darker. It’s so fun to play with them.

Everything else.

Here is a little bit of everything else that I’ve done or have experimented with. Some I haven’t continued with, mostly because well, to be perfectly honest, paint and canvases are cheap. It’s expensive to make art in other media.
